Hello! WELCOME BACK!!!!

It has certainly been a great start to a new now! I am excited to see what you all bring to the art program and how much you grow this upcoming year. I know, there are many people nervous for this start, myself included! However, I assure you: 1. you are not alone and 2. I am learning new things this year right alongside with you!

It is my ongoing goal to continue to update class videos and requirements in the district’s new virtual learning application, Canvas. On the homepage for your art classes (in Canvas), you will find a "Syllabus" which outlines the major junctions for the class requirements. This way we are able to continue with innovative ways of learning. I will also add a majority of assignments and track a pacing guide through the Canvas application.   I am super excited to meet and work with all of you!

A little bit about my story: My name is Tera Kostelecky. As I was moving forward into the foundation of my career, I longed for a true “home.”  Which is what led me to Lovell!

After graduating high school in Cody, Wyoming, I moved onto a small school where I began my educational journey with a new opportunity, alongside collegiate volleyball.  It was this experience that transitioned my educational trail to Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana where I earned my Bachelor of Art in Art K-12 Education. I truly enjoy being within schools as I continue my education through experience. Daily, it is challenging for me as students react in different ways to every situation. It will be exciting to watch and contribute to the perseverance life changes. It takes a caring, pure, and kind heart to influence and make an impact. It is my hope to do so here!

After completing my student teaching in Bozeman, I continued my professional education within my hometown school district as a substitute and Para Educator. I realized then that I knew God had me exactly where I was supposed to be, reaching hearts and minds in a new light. I found every experience to be rewarding in the ability to care about each as individuals.

In my spare time (which seems to be minimal), I enjoy staying involved with coaching as well as participating in athletic activities. I am also notorious for driving alongside beautiful creations in the foothills of His peaks listening to music, wondering how I am going to apply it into my own masterpiece. Anytime I watch a movie, I am questioned, “How in the world do you remember every line of every movie?” And although I haven’t seen them “all,” I do enjoy the art of production as well. I also love any time I am blessed with spending time with my close friends, twin sister, older brother and sister, parents, and other family.
