I was born and raised in Lovell. I attended Lovell Schools and graduated from Lovell High School. The following fall I began post-secondary school at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, WY. I graduated from UW with a BA in 6-12 English Education and received Certification in K-12 Special Education.
I began working at Lovell High School in December 2007 as a Special Education para-educator. I was hired to job coach students who were transitioning from school to work and also to monitor the school's work experience program. I loved my job!
In August 2008, I began my teaching career at LHS as a part time Special Education teacher and part time English teacher, where I taught English II. I continued this work for three years then went full time as a Special Educator. I have taught English, math, study skills, and life skills classes in the resource room over the years. For several years, I co-taught in the regular math classroom (Algebra I and Pre-Algebra). And recently co-taught in the English classroom (English II and English IV). This year I began teaching students who need support in math, reading, or writing skills.
I enjoy seeing my students grow from their freshman year to senior year and beyond. I am always so impressed by their drive and determination to not let their challenges get in the way of their dreams.
I was named ¨Educator of the Year¨ in 2014 for the Lovell Chamber of Commerce.
I was named ¨Teacher of the Year¨ in 2014 for Lovell Schools for the State of Wyoming.
I currently live in Lovell with my husband Zach and two children - Kinzie (7) and Camden (4). We love being in the Big Horn Basin.
