Parent Instructions for Track and Field 2021

my parents were doing a video for our parent meeting this year for track and field and there were using canvas as our main platform to relay information to you and to post itineraries and schedules and things like that so your son or daughter should have this class in canvas and we're going to get you access to this in fact today which is the March 9th your your kid will be coming home with a code that you can use to get onto a canvas so you can observe this class and see all the schedules and and itineraries all that type of information and so they'll be bringing home information to help you get on to that class then what it looks like inside so when are you going to the class I need to show you StudentVue look like for them and you the homepage has a different modules we have general information which is the most important part for you we have warm-up and cool-down which is for the athletes they're able to see warm up videos and the exercises for recovery we also something that shows them how to do their strength training and then we have this records and champions and this is for a individuals who want to see a video on highlights from last time we had track and field issues in 2019 we have our level track records and then are on a roll right here was just shows you the top and for each event down below we just have I guess our are different events broken two Sprint hurdles mid-distance distance shot put discus high jump and long jump in this is where we going to be posting video for athletes to see technique that they can work on it home this is probably the area that you're going to use in the most general information when you going to hear you're going to see the 2021 track and field schedule and then there's a video that I highly recommend watching it's extremely good I made it but it's about shoes and equipment that the we sneeze so if you're looking for shoes I show you where to get shoes what type of shoes to get its  for sprinters and jumpers and distance Runners and throwers and then some other equipment that they'll need box elder so if you're wondering when were practicing and what dates and I'm that's what it looks like there and our information she just basically says the general rules of track and field for us was in Morton for the athlete to do and what time practice starts be a practice those important things here's a shirt order form and you can order is coming up in a week on Tuesday I'm going to send one home with your athletes but you can take look out the shirts are right here there's a picture I opened up the information sheet and this just says our expectation for 10 and so we want athletes to be at practice and it before they can compete they have I have a physical and Bulldog card that's even before they can practice before they compete they have to have a certain number of practices and of course our training rules if they have to stay away from Alcohol Tobacco drugs this is Biggie still need you can look at the video that I put on cameras here couple other things I just explain what it takes to get an athletic letter in the type of wards that we give out at the end of the Year banquet and then athletes might want to know what they need to do to qualify for regionals and state and then my phone number so nice to get a hold of me 307-272-0445 once again this is Borton the general information because this is where we're going to be posting itineraries if you want to know what events your athletes are going to be in to be posted under the general information we're all supposed to meet schedules so were you can get filled in on what's Happening for the week the coaches this year I'm Joshua Sanders on the head coach I'm coaching the triple jump in the pole vault we have Caleb Sanders go to the distance and mid-distance and Josie Allen's Goshen Springs in the hurdles Bob Weber who's coaching the high jump and the long jump and we've got some volunteer coaches you have AJ Martinez and Chad Lindsey who are coaching the throws nail doing a job so very very glad to have them if you're new to track and field but make it to State your athlete needs to your son and daughter needs to either prequalify for the stay Mead and I'll probably post those people pre-qualification times on your general information or they need to be in the top 8 at regionals if they do any of those things they'll be able to make the state competition okay if you have any questions let me know
