I can’t believe its May and we are already staring at the end of the year! This has been the fastest school year I have ever been a part of and most definitely the best. It is a busy time of year and in Spanish we are going to be sprinting to the finish line.
In Spanish 1, we just finished chapter 3-B and conjugating –ar verbs in the present tense. We are starting chapter 4-A: talking about school, classes, and school supplies. We will probably end this chapter and the school year by doing a skit to demonstrate their ability to talk about these things.
In Spanish 2, we are also beginning work on a skit project that will take us through the end of the year. This project focuses on a clothing store situation where students have to demonstrate using clothing vocabulary and descriptions, comparisons, and how much items cost.
SPAN 1020 is working on a story book project that incorporates all of the major grammar concepts that we learned in the second semester. They have been working hard on these and I am sure they will turn out great. Once they are done, we will be going to the elementary to share them with a couple of elementary classes.
Thank you for the great school year and for the great job you are doing with your students. They are a pleasure to be around and they make my job easy. That speaks volumes about the parents. Have a great summer!
