Due to state budget cuts to education, a 5% reduction to all school budgets took place this year. One affected area was meals provided by the school when students travel for extracurricular activities. When traveling within the Big Horn Basin, no meals will be provided by the district. Students on overnight trips will have to provide their first meal out and an additional meal. For longer overnight trips, pending how many trips that activity has a year, there may be more food the parent/guardian will need to provide. Coaches and activity sponsors have been asked to notify parents early in the week of food requirements. They will be including this on the itinerary sent home with students when traveling. However, students who do not have food or money for food on an activity will not go without. Coaches have been asked to provide this for those participants.
