BGH2 School Closure & Status Updates

A public health notice was issued on March 15, 2020 by the Big Horn County Health officer, to close schools under Title 35-1-240(a)(iv). Under this directive, Big Horn County School District #2 will close school for students beginning Monday, March 16, 2020 and will remain closed through April 3, 2020. Teacher Instruction Time for Students

Teachers, and Para-Professionals working directly with students, will be logged into Canvas and be available starting on Monday, March 23,between the hours of 10:00 - Noon and 1:00 - 3:00, Monday - Friday while the school is closed due to the coronavirus.

LHS ACADEMIC INSTRUCTIONS DURING SCHOOL CLOSURE (click for Canvas Parent Instructions))

All classes will have online assignments available on Canvas for students beginning Wednesday, March 18, 2020. Assignments will be graded and count toward semester grades.

Individual flex teachers will be contacting parents/guardians to address any questions or concerns.

Students should be checking Canvas messages daily for direct information and instructions from their teachers. To access your student’s information in Canvas, your student can add you as an observer by clicking the link above and following the instructions.

Parents who are interested in helpful hints for homework may use the links in the library section of the website.

Procedure for Checking Students out of the Building

Parents who need to check their student(s) out of school are required to come in the building. If a parent cannot come in the building a written note will be required. If in an emergency situation, where you are not able to send a note, your student may have the school call your number(s) listed in Power School. Email messages to the school secretary will be accepted as a written note.
