Path to Success Day: College & Career Readiness/ACT- March 26, 2024

Seniors will be traveling to the Center for Training and Development at Northwest College in the morning where they will explore various training opportunities. They will have the chance to participate in activities related to Criminal Justice, Outdoor, E-Sports, and CTD. In the afternoon they will travel to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, WY. Lunch will be provided to them by Mr. Lundberg. Seniors will report to the gymnasium for attendance. Buses will leave at 8 AM and return by 3:24 PM.

Sophomores will be traveling to the Lovell Armory and the Foster Gulch Golf Course. At the Lovell Armory students will have the opportunity to see the different careers the military can provide. Students will be participating in a community service project at the Foster Gulch Golf Course. They will need a coat and work gloves. Sophomores will report to the MPR for attendance and buses will be leaving at 8:05 AM and return by 3:24 PM.

Freshmen will be traveling to MSU Billings for a campus visit and then travel to MSU City College to explore numerous technical programs for those interested in a vocational track. Students will need to bring their own sack lunch or have requested a sack lunch from the school. Freshmen will report to the FACS room for attendance. Buses will be leaving at 8 AM and will return by 3:24 PM.

If your student rides a bus home from school, they will make it back in time to catch the bus home.

Junior State ACT Test Information

On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, the juniors will be taking the required State ACT. Please make sure students are rested and here on time as each testing room will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. and end around 1:30 p.m. This test has extremely strict rules that must be followed during testing and cannot be interrupted at any point once the test has started. Calculators and pencils will be supplied for each student. A testing room schedule will be posted in the school and on Canvas. Students will report to their testing room right away. An ACT Incentive Reward card was mailed home to each junior. This acts as a pass to be released from school early after testing is completed for students who work hard and use their timely wisely during test. The card must be signed by a parent and returned to the school office in order to be valid no later than March 25th. If one is not received the student will remain at school until the end of the day.

Attention all new drivers! Drivers Education online registration is now open. There will be two sessions offered over the summer - June 3-14th and July 29 - August 9th, with scheduled drive times over the course of the months. Students must be 15 years old and have a Learner's Permit by the start of the session - there are no exceptions to this rule. When registering, please carefully read over the material and mark your calendars with the required Parent Meeting date.
